The French government's e-invoicing reform affects every business operating in France. Here's the official timeline.
No matter how small your business is - if you operate in France, you need to be set up to receive electronic invoices. Your larger suppliers will start sending invoices electronically through an official platform, not by email or PDF anymore. You need to be connected to receive them.
Companies with more than 250 employees must start sending their invoices electronically. If you run a small business, you don't need to send e-invoices yet - you only need to receive them.
Now it's your turn. Every small business, freelancer, and auto-entrepreneur must send invoices electronically. PDF invoices by email or paper invoices will no longer be accepted.
Non-compliance means financial penalties and increased scrutiny from French tax authorities.
